Thanks, Suzanne! I’ll try that. VO Command Space was a “mouse click,” a while
back; maybe that’s why that works. I was also going to experiment to see if
either track pad or keyboard commander could be set up to give a shortcut. I
love my iPHone, and use the touch screen interface quite confidently, but
because I type so fast and grew up memorizing keyboard commands, I haven’t even
used the track pad on my MacBook Air, and keep the commander off, and just use
the keyboard for everything.

I found this out by speaking with Apple Accessibility. The guy I spoke
with, Justin, was very much on the ball! Notification Center has been
completely revamped and it is still a little buggy. Sometimes, if you’re in
a list of notifications, if you hit VO plus Command plus Space, you can go
down a menu, if you need to make a menu selection.
