Hmmm, pondering options for IPhone, but the translate widget for Mac is
accessible and does a pretty good job on words and short phrases. It’s not
perfect, but it usually gets a good valid translation. I use it more for French
than German to help keep up with my 10 year old’s homework, flipping the
Voiceover voice to French helped too, I assume downloading a German voice and
switching to it would also help.

Hi Suzanne
I can't give you a recommendation for an app because I'm interested in this
myself as well. But I am fluent in the German language. So, if you like,
just write me off list and I'll answer you gladly any questions you might
have about how to say or write something in German.
Liebe Grüsse
Ben

Hi All,
I am visiting a friend in Germany and would like to improve my German. Does
anyone know of an accessible dictionary or thesaurus particularly for the
iPhone?
Thanks very much.
Danke sehr.
