I can agree though that things are sometimes easyer on IPad, but it
depend I guess. Garageband still don't have all the shortcuts that the
mac version have, maybe allot, but not all.
Yes, these new ipad pros are very powerfull, I don't think anyone can
doubt that, but the problem rite now is software. And I don't see
enough werth for voiceover users in particular that could make it so
great that you would switch your laptop for it.
Why don't mac books have any touch screen?
Well, first off there is the trackpad, and second mac is not designed
with touch screen as primary input, and ipad is not design with
keyboard as main input either.
That is why they should complement each other.

I purchased Luna display because of the dual screen support, but sadly this
is not compatible with voiceover. (Company indicates future updates will
focus on adding accessibility support, but no timeframe has been provided).
I have also used Apple’s Sidecar feature, but the compatibility seems to be
lacking there also. (Perhaps others can share their dual screen support
experiences if successful).
P.S. I think iPads are a great addition to one’s productivity. Personally, I
find that using Pages and Keynote are much more intuitive on this device
than the iMac or Macbook. Further, when I get an iPad 12.9 I will greatly
enjoy the screen size for easier manipulation of Shortcuts actions.
