Only comment to that is the world is forever changing so keep an open mind and
not a closed one and particularly take notice of those who are actually using
the devices, that way you're able to stay informed.
I think you would get quite a surprised if you used even say an iPad Mini as to
how similar the iPad has become to a Notebook.
In the Apple event earlier this morning the new iPad Pro was revealed and that
can be summed up with 2 words, flexible and powerful, building on what the iPad
already offers its users plus some huge innovations and leaps forward.
I mentioned earlier the touch screen of the iPad? This to me is a huge plus on
any computer system, I enjoy using the Touch Screen on my HP Spectre for
example or my Lenova Chromebook, my Samsung Galaxy S20 and iPhone 11 so its
nice to know that some sort of familiarity can be found across platforms even
though some of the gestures may be different, we have keyboards across multiple
devices so why not touch screens?
I honestly thought we may see a Touch Screen on the new iMac or perhaps a new
Macbook of some sort with a Touch Screen but apparently Apple doesn't think it
important, at least at this time.
Yes you can connect your iPad Pro to your Mac and get a touch screen that way,
I've never tried this and don't know what sort of VoiceOver feedback you would
get so that's on the agenda for doing when I can fit a few more hours into a
day.

Problem is with backpack I cannot record something on a website
together with cards, and a microphone. If those things cannot be done
with more control ipad pro is kind of a waste I think.

No, you can't record from a chosen input source from Native IOS Apps
as far as I know but you can from third-party Apps, Backpack Studio
itself for example, plug a microphone into the USB-C port, select it
and away you go.
The iPhone's lightning port doesn't have the power to support a lot
of accessories either.

Regarding your second point? Its horses for courses.
One of the lower end iPads would be a device that many would be
dreaming of.
The iPad Pro is a multi tasking dynamo without a doubt, that's
exactly what it was designed for, to bridge the gap between Tablet
and Notebook which it does very well.
As for an iPad doing things a Mac can't do? The gap is narrowing all
the time as I'm finding out.
There is another machine that doesn't seem to get the credit it
deserves and that's the iPod Touch 7th Generation, oh so small and
yet oh so powerful whether it be your music machine or your game
playing pal.

Isn't shortcuts available when connecting a keyboard? I never heard
that you have to enable any shortcuts.
Each to there own, but if I think how much the pro cost, and that it
cannot do so much more than other ipads, and considering that there
are stil things you can do with a mac wich you cannot with ios, a
macbook air seems quite werth it to me.

Don’t forget that a MacBook Air isn’t getting up to the same amount
of money and a lot of the powerful Windows Notebooks are around the

databases, iPad Pro seems to have a fondness for performing such
operations <smile>.
I mentioned audio on the iPad Pro but I didn't mention the
supposedly studio quality microphones that come as part of the
iPad Pro package? I have to admit they sound - to me at any rate
- absolutely brilliant.
I've not tried any of my external microphones with the iPad Pro
yet and even if I do I don't think I'm going to be in for any big
surprises.
The next question I have is about what Apple may plan to do in
the future, whether the Macbook Air may be faized out in favour
of the Macbook Air?
There are some mighty good reasons to go down that path and I
have to admit to preferring the iPad Pro over the Macbook Air - I
have both machines - so will be interesting to see what happens
down the line.
