It isn't free, but highly is recommended. It'll do a lot more than just Skype calls, but I'd highly recommend Audio Hijack Pro.
I can get you set up with a demo if you'd like to try it out.I'll give you a call here in a bit and help you out with that, and the other things we discussed off list.
