Hi Tracy,
     OK, then you might not have enough room to copy the file onto the phone.  
That could be your issue.  I can't sync the latest version of Navigon onto my 
phone because I don't have the room to do so.  You might want to delete some 
items off of the phone that you don't need.  There is a place in the iPhone 
scroll area when it is connected where you can see what constitutes or makes up 
the total space on your phone.
