OK well, when in ITunes, try hitting command+O. don't worry about the menu bar, just hit command+O.

I have done so as follows: 1. open iTunes 2. pressed VO-m. 3. press right arrow until getting to "file" 4. then down arrow until getting to "library sub-menu"5. The library sub-menu has four options: organize, export, import playlistand export playlist (which is dimmed) There is no "import library". Eventually I wish to import a file called "library.xml" residing in the USB external drive. -----Original Message----- From: mac4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mac4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Christopher-Mark Gilland Sent: Saturday, November 26, 2011 6:26 AM To: mac4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mac4theblind] Re: Transitioning from Windows XP to Lion There definitely is an option in the menu bar. Have you looked in the file menu? I just got a brand new MacBook Pro and have started the process of shifting from XP. The first and most important thing for me is to copy my iTunes library from the XP machine to the Mac. The guy I dealt with at the Apple Store said that this would be easy. "just export the library to an external drive and then import it from within iTunes on the Mac."I exported the library to an external USB drive and then plugged the drive into the Mac. That is as far as I've gotten since last night and it is now6:00 AM!iTunes on the Mac does not seem to have an "import" option anywhere in itsmenus. Can someone please send me a cure so that I may be able to sleep? Thanks in advance. Julio C. Perez ************ You are subscribed to the mac4theblind mailing list.
