I would guess there is probably a good 300 or more on the Mac Visionaries
list. There are under 50 subscribed here, and about five left tthe list oday.

OK, so if I am going to keep this list running, let's get a few things
clear. I am going to post a basic, welcome, message I don't think anyone ever
received as it doesn't seem there was one configured, but that will come in a
bit. I do want to first say that there will be no disparaging or degrading
comments made or directed at any other list. Obviously, everyone has their
preferences and their personal reasons for those preferences, but it
demonstrates a lack of class and respect to criticize other lists. I happen to
know the folks who run the Mac Visionaries list, and besides the fact that they
are all great people, they are also highly respected and regarded in the Mac
blindness community. One of the mods is someone who has been a personal friend
of mine for probably over ten years now, so I will not react kindly to any
uncalled for remarks or such directed their way.

At the moment, I am the only moderator and administrator. I might ask if
there is anyone with list experience who would be willing to help out. I
really don't have the time to be a constant overseer of a list, and though this
is a small group, I don't want to have to worry about the conduct and exchanges
among list members. Personally, I'd like to maintain this group as a small,
tight, helpful group, but I have no control over who might join and how many
folks might want to join as time goes on.

In any event, I'll post a welcome message I'd like you all to save. It's
not a perfect announcement and will probably evolve over time, but it will have
some basic points to keep in mind here.

Thank you kindly
