Hmm, when iTunes is working correctly with JFW I have no problem with iTunes on windows PC cannot say about the Mac as I don't have one as of yet. Maybe next year. I know it want be this year. I do find using WMP easier to me than iTunes as you pointed out it is much more complex. I like simple things! But this being said iTunes is not too bad. I myself just use iTunes and JFW without any scripts. Most of the time I don't find scripts that helpful. But there is time to time some scripts come in handy. Apple has done a good job of providing for accessibility to itunes and I find itunes on windows much easier to use than other programs of comparable or near comparable capability. NO it is not as easy as windows media player but it is very useable. Now understand iTunes is an Apple program made for Apple machines. So it as I hear works much better and smoother on the Mac. This would make since it is an Apple program. Now it is up to other screen readers to make their stuff work with apple products just like Apple would have to make Vo work with Windows products. Just as it is that the app makers to make their apps accessible with Vo not Apple make Vo to work with apps. But all in all I don't use iTunes for anything but playing music and stuff sometimes now. I use the app store on the IOS devices and iTunes on the IOS devices as it is a lot less pain and when the new IOS come out you will not have to use iTunes at all unless you want to. All can be done on the devices and Macs . All in the clouds if you want that. I think in year or so ITunes might just go away . Other than to be used as a music or video player if you choose for it to be used that way. I'm not new to this stuff and I have plenty of experience and patience in dealing with unruly apps. The unpredictability of how tabbing, shift tabbing and using F6 with JAWS in iTunes is ridiculous. I get plenty of controls without prompts; using the JAWS cursor is not good enough... I am no beginner in using JAWS or iTunes. As long as I only work with my music library, I can handle it relatively well. Everything else including registering with iTunes, configuring an iPhone and many other things that would be really cool to master are painful at best. From reading your message, I come away with the impression that it trouble with iTunes is totally an user issue and I disagree. I don't understand why Apple doesn't make their iTune Windows interface more accessible. I bet it will draw more blind Window users to their other devices. -----Original Message----- From: mac4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mac4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Hilbert Poehlman Sent: Sunday, September 04, 2011 8:10 AM To: mac4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mac4theblind] Re: ITunes for beginner I use itunes with jaws for windows with no scripts just fine. It looks an aweful lot like itunes on the mac to me. On Sep 4, 2011, at 2:52 AM, Missy Hoppe wrote: Hi there. Thank you very much for trying to help, but I will absolutely never install Itunes on my PC. If I have it on the mac, that's more than sufficient; I don't even like using it there, but since it's more or less part of the OS, I'm willing to learn it to the best of my ability. The point is, though, that there's no way it's ever going to touch the PC. I feel the way about Skype, and instant messaging stuff. I just don't want to bog down my PC with that stuff, so I put it on the mac, mostly so that I can at least have a few reasons to own the thing. Anyway, like I said, thanks for trying to help, but I suspect that Itunes on my macbook is a completely different animal than itunes would be on the PC. Looking to get one as quick as my pocket aloud it. But they make scripts for JFW and iTunes that will help with this. See my previous message with the links. Unfortunately, when I went to the lcd section, it just said unknown when I switched to the other view. Same problem happened on both stations, and when I play them in winamp, everything is fine, so it's definitely an itunews-related problem. -----Original Message----- From: mac4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mac4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Hilbert Poehlman Sent: Saturday, September 03, 2011 5:18 PM To: mac4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mac4theblind] Re: Itunes for beginner ok, on the macbook in itunes, there is an "lcd section" in there, you will find the currently playing item.
