I'm using a Dynex 29 inch.I dono the model as it was given to me by my mother, but it works fantastically! This TV's probably more though than what most of you would want. There's an HDMI1, HDMI 2, Audio/Video in 1 and 2, red and white RCA out, blue green and red RCA component composit 1 and 2, VGA in, SVideo in, but no earphone. That's fine though as if I really needed to make a recording, I'd run from the RCA out to the line of my mixer, then out my mixer to the line in of my audio interface, then out my audio interface into my control surface, and out my control surface into my line in on the mac, and then record with ProTools. That's probably by a long long shot way, and I mean way! the hell more extreme than what most people would wanna do, but I'm just stating that's how I would personally do it.

David already answered you on this one before I saw your question. One thing I can tell blind folks who don't want or need a big hdtv screen is that you can buy a 13" Seiki TV which has an HDMI input for us blind folks as well as an earphone jack so we can make audio recordings easily. Apparently most really small 7" and 9" portable hdtvs lack the HDMI input. This model I ordered from Tiger Direct and it should arrive early next week. It costs just $79.95 with no shipping costs added. That's total cost for contentental US! I will give a report on this TV when it arrives. I am using the Apple TV on my current Panasonic 32" model, which apparently has no earphone jack or audio out!WillP S Tiger Direct's toll free phone number is 1-800-800-8300. Is there a key combination that is used to get the unit to talk?Angie On Jan 26, 2012, at 7:24 AM, Will Smith wrote:Does anyone here know of a mailing list that is chiefly devoted to Apple TV? I have just gotten a unit working here and love it. It is fully accessible to blind people and you can find lots of interesting podcasts and radio shows from the internet in hundreds of categories, involving thousands of streams. It's the most amazing collection of listening from all kinds of sources! I am just beginning to learn about this program, and of course there are also hundreds or thousands of video streams available, everything from You Toob to recent movies and TV shows, many free, but much that costs a fee, such as Netflix and many other offerings through I Tunes. If such an Apple TV mailing list doesn't exist then one needs to be set up. I would do so but have not run a list in over 6 years and am probably not the best one also as I am an older guy and suspect someone younger might do a more dependable job! Will wilsmith@xxxxxxxxx ************ You are subscribed to the mac4theblind mailing list. The url for this list, where one can unsubscribe or make any changes to their list subscription is://www.freelists.org/list/mac4theblind The list archive is located at //www.freelists.org/archive/mac4theblind/ All emails intended for the list owner can be sent to: john@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx************ You are subscribed to the mac4theblind mailing list. The url for this list, where one can unsubscribe or make any changes to their list subscription is://www.freelists.org/list/mac4theblind The list archive is located at //www.freelists.org/archive/mac4theblind/ All emails intended for the list owner can be sent to: john@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
