Dear MAASE Members,

If you do not go to the MAASE Assessment Forum at CEC on March 4th then don't
come whining to me later. You bet, it is going to be great and you will be
sorry.

The Forum features a presentation about establishing and implementing
non-biased assessment policies and procedures. A second presentation is about
the important and cutting edge work of the Michigan Assessment Consortium and
how you and your district can benefit. Lastly, you will hear about valid and
reliable student assessment practices for RtI at the secondary level including
important progress monitoring tools.

This workshop is being held from 8:45 to 3:45 at the Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand
Rapids in conjunction with the Michigan CEC conference. Immediately following
is the MAASE/CASE Hospitality Event has always been a huge hit and important
time to connect with your fellow administrators.

So here's the deal. You can drive in to GR on Wednesday morning and attend the
workshop and the MAASE/CASE Hospitality, spend the night ($122 at Grand Plaza
or stay at the Days Inn across the street), then get up at 6:00 and be to work
Thursday morning by 8:00. You can still do three IEP meetings by noon. Or,
better yet, stay for the CEC Conference. It looks great too!

Attached please find the Workshop Flyer (0.5 SB-CEU).

Register on the MAASE website at http://www.maase.org/Event.php?id=72.

I hope to see you there!

- Tony
