   ANNOUNCEMENTS

   Ruby/Google 0.2.0
          Ian Macdonald has announced a new version of his SOAP4R
          interface to Google([1]). This version doesn't look like
          anything new from the outside, but there is on the inside. Get
          Ruby/Google([2]).
          
   Ruby-Poll 0.0.1
          Michael Granger announced the release of an OO implementation
          of the poll(2) system call in Ruby. Get Ruby-Poll([3]).
          
   TaskMaster 0.1.2
          Phil Tomson announced the a new release of TaskMaster.
          TaskMaster is an object-oriented framework that makes it easy
          to distribute tasks to many machines on a network. Get
          TaskMaster([4]).
          
   Imlib2-Ruby 0.4.0
          Paul Duncan has released a new version of Ruby bindings for
          Imlib2. Get Ruby-Imlib2([5]).
          
   INTERESTING THREADS
   ===================
   
   RCR xx: yy as a shorter notation fo :xx => yy
          Jean-Hughes Robert suggested that that we have a different
          shorthand for specifying inline hashes.
          
   Resolve.rb patched up
          Several patches where applied to resolve.rb - thanks to Roy J.
          Milican for finding them and Nobu Nakada for his time and
          energy in creating the patches. The patches can be found at the
          end of this thread along with example on how to use the new
          behaviour.
          
   Cardinal project begins
          For a while now (4 or so months?) Phil Tomson has been pushing
          for a Ruby frontend to Parrot. He has now taking the initiative
          to start the project at Savannah([6]). Anyone interested in
          partaking in this project should make their intentions known
          here([7]).
