to hijack and destroy LuaJIT with the most atrocious and hazardous

I think it would be very helpful to LuaJIT's future if you defined
some principles for its evolution, similar to what the C standard has:

Also is there no way for you to continue leading LuaJIT for a while
more - maybe delegate the actual work to other people, but be
responsible for accepting / rejecting changes, and setting direction?
