We have found that you don't buy the cheap china antennas like this one
with the built in preamp. Amp goes out after a year and the rotor fails
too.
Our tv station also does outdoor antenna installs as a service and I've
tossed more of these antennas off the roof and replaced them with a good
quality antenna.
Our area is a little different as we are about 70 miles away from our dma
city(springfield mo) so most people need outdoor to receive tv from
springfield unless they only want to receive us. . We used to only install
channel master 8 bay as it's best for our area, but since corona caused
inflation, their prices have gone up for their 8 bay antenna. We now use
digitenna, their dt-df line. (https://www.digitenna.com/Products ;)Does
better than channel master in our area. Of course what works best for our
area, might not work best for other markets as you need to get an antenna
that is better gain design for the channels you want to receive.

We tested several brands of passive indoor "window" antennae. Our
testing showed that Channel Master makes the best. The testing we did was
