I have a couple of hamsters and as long as they are running on their hamster
wheels we're OK for power. The only problem is the smell... but I've had them
a while and they're used to the way I smell now... /sarcasm/

Same problem here with APC UPS units. Someone must manufacture a "regular"
UPS unit that does return to AC power.
Haven't done anything about it yet, but maybe an external DPDT relay (or two)
in an enclosure (possibly wired into the UPS) that has its coil energized
when power is coming through the UPS and feeds power to everything and let's
go when not energized and then connects everything directly back to AC.
Haven't thought it fully through or drawn a diagram.

Subject: [lptv] CyberPower UPS
Anyone have recommendations on good UPS battery backup devices? We’ve bought
about 10 CyberPower branded UPSs over the past 5 years from Costco but they
are frustrating to work with since they do not revert back to grid power
after battery power is exhausted. Our off site locations need a human being
to turn on power after a longer power outage. Anyone else experiencing this
issue?
