The general meeting of the LPGMA was held at 7 PM on April 8, 2010 in the ball
room. Board members present were Kate Shumate and Fran Williams. Absent were
Tom Belsan, Terri Parker, Ken Sime and Sue Sime, and Edythe Nedd. There were
25 residents in attendance.
Kate opened the meeting with the pledge of allegiance. Fran read the minutes
of the March meeting and gave the treasures report of $958.79. Kate announced
this would be the last meeting until we meet on Tuesdays in September.
Fran announced she would be resigning from the Board and said she had spoken to
Marie Renda about joining the Board and she agreed. Kate also said she might
have someone to fill the position left by Judi Reifschneiders moving out.
The residents discussed rents and how they are figured for each property and if
the Manager of each property set the lot rents. Kate told her no, lot leases
are set by Thesman, not the property managers. Kate said we would ask Kerin to
a general meeting in the fall to come to a meeting and explain the process of
rent increases. A resident asked about the proof of age form, Kate told him to
stop in the office if he had not filled out one and they would help him fill it
out.
The residents wanted to know if there was a chart giving the different parks
rent amounts for the different homes or lots. Kate and Fran said they would
ask management at our next board meeting, which is next week.
One of the residents suggest Rose put an article in her column in the paper
explaining the age form, why it was necessary, how often it would be needed.
Maybe she could put it on her agenda for the fall when more people will be back
in the park.
Ethel Gibson, Florence Chartier, and Gail Koehmemann handed out door prizes and
the 50/50 which was $16. Kate asked the residents to finish the cookies and
reminded those present that the Board meets with management during the summer
if there are any issues to resolve and to call her if you need the Board to
meet with management.
The meeting adjourned at 8 PM.
