Hi Saozinha,
Yes I did get this email...twice!!
Thanks for sending it out. I couldn’t make it last year but plan to get there
early to help set up, and hope to stay a while. And I think my brother Verge
plans to do the same.
Hopefully others can make it too. Should be a fun day!!
And kudos to cousin Rui for running this thing! He’s quite the Homem Grande No
Campus!!

Dear family,
Hope you’re all well.
I wanted to let you know that the second annual Boston Portuguese Festival 2019
is taking place on June 23rd at City Hall Plaza, Boston from 12pm to 8pm.
This is a huge event to celebrate our Portuguese culture and heritage. Our
very own cousin Rui Domingos is heading up the committee to make this happen
and he’s doing a fantastic job. It’s a huge job!! It takes the effort of many
people to make this a successful event and we thank Rui for taking this on.
We’re very proud!!
There’s going to be great entertainment all afternoon from bands to ranchos;
there are fun activities for children; there is great food and drink;
Portuguese things for sale; Revolution soccer players will be there; the flag
raising will take place around 2pm….and much, much more. *** Please check out
the attached flyer.
We hope you all come out to have fun and enjoy this great event and at the same
time help us continue to showcase our Portuguese culture and heritage.
We are looking for volunteers so if you want to help us even if for a couple of
hours (or the whole time) let me know. We need all the help we can get…bring
your friends. If your kids need community service hours I’ll sign them up and
sign their form.
The committee to make this event happen also has to raise funds (things don’t
happen magically )…..so if you’d like to send a donation to the BPF please do
so at
www.bostonportuguesefestival.org<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.bostonportuguesefestival.org&d=DwMGaQ&c=qS4goWBT7poplM69zy_3xhKwEW14JZMSdioCoppxeFU&r=flfY48PylIumIbkz4f6QF7L8UuWje5ivkZjSFN7RjUaaUO0CFDJqdsfpFNILj9t9&m=8KSr4mb0vwqUHjUJ0JfTypRBvBMPvcvoemHZR4axQ6w&s=myP2iYYVfvUdkSM4trEMi1z2weV6Z_mzEJh3Jj5JQBY&e=>.
Every little bit helps and you will be supporting the continuation of our
great and very old (840 years to be exact) culture. Thank you!!!
Muito obrigada a todos!! See you all on Sunday, June 23rd to celebrate
Portugal.
Sãozinha
