I visited a favorite trail in the Acadiana Nature Park this afternoon. Clouds had me worried, but intermittent sun did spark butterfly activity along the trail. I was treated to a new butterfly and in a big way. After the excitement of my first Texan Crescent, I realized there were a few more. Most of them were in fresh condition and I ended up with 14 along the 1 mile trail. The trail is dappled light through the high canopy of old hardwoods.
