Spent a couple of hours at Rip Van Winkle Gardens, including the rookery. Temps
got up to 75 w/ a lot of sun so butterflies were moving easily. Long-tailed Sks
continue to have a big year as do Ocola Sks.

There is a band along the Iberia-St Mary Parish coast from Jefferson Island
thru Avery Island and Cypremort Point to Burns Point where Broad-winged
Skippers can be found. Although i have not yet documented it in the Weeks
Island area (between Cypremort Point and Avery Island), I feel strongly that it
is there also as the food plant is present in numerous thick stands.
