O.k., with things beginning to open up here in LA, I have set two of
Louisiana's annual NABA counts for the next two Saturdays. The Thistlethwaite
WMA count will be this Saturday, the 23rd, beginning at 10:00. We will meet at
the front Kiosk. Bring food and water. Wear protective clothes and bring some
water-proof boots if you are going to trek into some of the more remote spots
we check. Bug repellent as is also recommended.
The following Sat., the 30th, will be the Indian Bayou Count. As always, we
will meet at !0:00 at the Visitor's Center under I-10 at the Butte La Rose
(3177) exit. Same suggestions re provisions, clothing and repellent.
FYI, I've also set the two Ark counts for 6/4 & 5. Stone Road will the the 4th
and Rick Evans on the 5th. Come up and join us. No promises, but the chances
are good to see Southern Dogfaces, Dianas, and possibly Northern Metalmarks. We
will meet each day in the parking lot of the Walmart in Hope AR. Thx,
Craig Marks
