I drove up to Kisatchie NF in Rapides Parish (Caster Plunge Rd) to look for Dusted Skippers, but saw none. It was not particularly dry, and, in fact, there were several mud puddles in the low spots. Lots of Cloudless Sulphurs and Little Yellows. I ended up seeing 23 or 24 species (still deciding on a duskywing, Wild Indigo vs Zarucco). On the way home I stopped at Thistlethwaite where I saw 23 species. Ended the day w/ 35 species, but nothing really exciting. The Dions are not flying yet at Thistlethwaite, but the Dukes are still there. Still can't make it back into the back b/c the drilling rig is blocking that road. I'll post the full list later this week after I determine what the duskywing is. cwm
