Nash Cemetery - West Monroe, LA

Classification: Query
Surnames: Ebey, Tilley
The cemetery
located on the corner of US 80 & Magee Rd.
Only
part of the cemetery is kept up. The majority is grown up in brush and
undergrowth. There is a CSA grave located there. I thought the Sons of
Confederate Veterans could clean it up, but not yet.
I have current pictures of the condition.
Any suggestions on preservation?

Please email louisianacemeteries@xxxxxxxxx
with this information. This is the Louisiana Cemetery Preservation
wiki_masters email address. There are other cemeteries in Ouachita that
have been reported to Saving Graves in 2000.
You've done a great job
already by getting photographs taken of the cemetery condition. If you
can email those to louisianacemeteries@xxxxxxxxx that would be great as
these are necessary for proof of conditions and further action. There
are a number of things that must be done first, like finding out who
owns the cemetery property. You can search for information on cemetery
preservation http://louisianacemeteries.angelfire.com
.. You can also upload those photographs here, by attaching a file below
in a reply message on this message board. Depending upon who owns the
property may dictate responsibility for this cemetery. The fact that it
is currently in a state of disarray is a matter of concern. There are
also transcriptions available for this cemetery from approximately
1993, although transcriptions were submitted in 2000 they were from a
book published in 1993. Do you know who owns it?
