Published: Friday, November 7, 2008 7:53 PM CST Two NSU Masters of Heritage Resources students, Josh Martin and Curtis Desselles are working with the Breda Town Cemetery Association in surveying and preserving the cemetery for their project theses. Martin is mapping the cemetery and aiding the community in determining the location of unmarked graves. Forest Heritage Program Manager of Kisatchie and district archaeologist for the Caney Ranger Station Velicia Bergstrom offered to bring their ground penetrating radar equipment and work with Martin. During that time, other Masters of Heritage Resourse were there as part of their methods course where they learn about different techniques used for preserving heritage resources. Other equipment that was used included a magnetometer, two types of soil pentrometers and a soil resistivity meter that Desselles built himself.
