Good morning all,
Weather this morning is even worse than last Thursdays so thought I would
whet your appetites by announcing the details for our walk on Thursday,
October 27th.
Can you remember what you did on October 31st 2019? If not, you have the
chance to follow the same walk again with, hopefully, superb views of the
autumnal colours over the Derwent Valley.
Meet at the parking area on the A57 as near as possible to the Viaduct over
the main arm of the reservoir at Ladybower for a 10 am departure. I plan
to ascend the western side of the valley, via Crook Hill and up to Bridgend
Pasture before descending through the woods to the reservoir side near
Fairholmes then back along the footpath to the cars. Unfortunately the
Ladybower Inn is currently closed and the Angler's Rest at Bamford doesn't
open on a Thursday so it will be the Yorkshire Bridge for coffee/tea.
