It falls to me to organise next week's walk on Thursday 26th of May 2022. I
regret that the walk lacks imagination, since we have done at least in parts it
before, but it is lovely none the less. I aim to lose fewer people this time,
which should be a doddle since I managed to lose 9 last time!
We start at a car park which is on the left just before the Three Merry lads
Pub S10 4LJ. We have parked there before, and it abuts a wood where a prisoner
of war camp used to be. There is a barrier across half of the entrance to the
car park, so you may need to do a wide sweep to get into it and the gap in the
wall is not too obvious. The car park itself is very big.
The plan is to make our way down to the Ravelin Reservoir then up through
Wyming brook to the car park at the top, thence over the moors and back along
the Conduit. From there we can see how much time we have left, but I think we
will end up walking along the road for a bit and then into the woods to the
lower Rivelin reservoir and back to the cars.
Coffee will probably be at the three merry lads. The weather looks dryish so
far and the outside seating has some nice views. See you there. My number is
