Il borghese non sono io
che tralappio d’un giorno all’ altro coprendomi d’un sudore tutto
concimato, deciso, coinciso da me, non altri – o se soltanto d’altri sono
il clown faunesco allora ingiungo l’alt, quella terribile sera che non vi
fu epidemia ma soltanto un resto delle mie ossa che
si rifiutavano di seccarsi
al sole.
Non v’è sole che non sia
lumière, (e il francese è
un par terre) quando cangiando viste, cangiasti forme, anche
nel tuo nostalgico procedere verso un’impenetrabile morte. Nel verso
impenetravi la
tua notte, di soli e luci
per nulla naturali, quando
l’elettrico ballo non più compaesano distingueva tra chi era fermo, e chi
non
lo era. Difendo i lavoratori difendo il loro pane a denti stretti caccio il
cane da questa mia mansarda piena d’impenetrabili libri buoni per una
vendemmia che sarà tutta l’ultima opera vostra
se non mi salvate da queste strette, stretta la misura combatte il soldo e
non v’è sole ch’appartenga al popolo!

Those Hegelian reservations would require me to only allow such
‘Benjaminian’ “translational modification of the source text” to be
indicative of a direction which we may wish to take in our dialectical
movement towards philosophical truth.
Whether such ‘dialectical movement towards philosophical truth’ is, was,
or ever will be ‘productive of philosophical truth’ is, I suppose, an area
of contention between many schools of philosophy (at the moment I am
thinking ‘modern — post-modern’).
