What means this phrase: "attitude of gnosticism?"

Mike Geary

(of agnosticism)

I'm typing from within the echo chamber of a massive head cold which has
robbed me of my voice....therefore I have no good measure of how silly this
post is or is not ....

But hey -- the worst case scenario is that I make a fool of myself and God
knows I'm thoroughly familiar with that space ...

Reading the "Mission" statement in John's Phil. link, it strikes me that the
increased use of the internet ...encourages? promotes? makes more visible to
Joe the Plumber? an attitude of gnosticism...

Not sure what that really means, in terms of future development of human-kind
and evolving thought/belief processes, but there it is -- in all its nyquil &
advil infused glory.
