EY: There's also Saul Bellow's _Humboldt's Gift_, which is loosely based 
on Schwartz, and may shed more light on the guy.

JE: Thank you. I read it a long long time ago, it's perhaps time I 
looked at Bellow (well, at some of his work) again.

EY: Read it a long time ago too. College summer vacation. Later read the 
Bellow interview in Paris Review where he states that his books are only 
interesting to college students. However, recently read he was one of 
Martin Amis' "mentors."

(Also I haven't received any E-mail today and this is just a test of the
