Wittgenstein overrated? The younger or later Wittgenstein? And overrated? Do you mean Quine did the work, and we should simply update our web of beliefs? My main concern is with "overrated." Aristotle, Hegel, or Schopenhauer, for example, seem wrong in so many things, seriously wrongheaded, but one cannot overrate them. If the legacy of a philosopher is to stimulate "the long discussion," rating itself seems inconsequential.
