Developer Buys Sargent Painting for $8.8M
LAS VEGAS (AP) - Casino developer Steve Wynn and his wife, Elaine, spent $8.8
million for one of John Singer Sargent's best-known works, ``Portrait of
Robert Louis Stevenson and His Wife.''
Wynn plans to hang the painting in his new casino, Wynn Las Vegas, scheduled
to open in 2005, The New York Times reported Thursday....
