Posting as just plain 'Eric' and writing in capitals. This isn't the usual Yost. I suspect an imposter.

And dissing Yoda! Only the Sith would diss Yoda....

1. The Dark Lord creates a false enemy and through this starts a war.

IF ONLY THE USA HAD THE LUXURY OF FALSE ENEMIES! HOW QUAINT OF THOSE STELLAR SAMURAI TO HAVE ONE.

2. He attains democratic power under false pretenses.

PICK A PRESIDENT OR PRIME MINISTER OR SULTAN OR HONCHO ... FILL IN THE BLANKS AND THEN DEFINE "FALSE."

3. He actively supports the fight against the false enemy.

9/11 COMBINED WITH BAD INTEL WILL DO THAT. GOOD THING SADDAM WASN'T A FALSE ENEMY ON TOP OF THAT.

4. He turns against the democratic system and manipulates its demise using emergency powers made necesary by the war.

MUST BE VLADIMIR PUTIN YOU'RE DESCRIBING. DEMOCRACY'S ALIVE AND WELL HERE ... THOUGH I WONDER WHAT THE DEMS ARE DOING IN THEIR 100 HOURS ... MORE FOOTBALL BREAKS MAYBE?

5. He sees through the destruction of the false enemy thereby ending the war.

IF ONLY! THEN WE COULD ATTEND TO OTHER THREATS.

6. He creates an empire.

NOT MUCH ANNEXING GOING ON HERE. MUST BE DESCRIBING CHINA'S RAPE OF TIBET OR THE ISLAMIST ATTEMPT TO COLONIZE NORTH AFRICA.

Try watching the later films with this model in mind. Intruiging.

MAY THE FARCE BE WITH YOU.

The most amusing thing about Stars Wars for me is Yoda. When Yoda has lots of time on his little puppet hands, he speaks in Pennsylvania Dutch syntax, e.g., "Around the survivors, a perimeter make!" However, when he's really pressed for time in a fight, he reverts to standard American business syntax, e.g., "Concentrate your fire on the large ship!"
