There are two words one can be liable for:
 
  - xenophobe (fear of the furriner)
 
etc.
 
-- Now, about _xenos_, Greek for 'furriner'. Was he always a  _barbaros_?
 
I would think perhaps not. Not all furriners _are_ enemies. Xenos would  
translate more as 'enemy'? 
 
In any case, do we have examples of who the Greeks found 'xenoi'?
 
Anyway, it wouldn't help, in that 'xenophobia' was possibly coined after  
'homophobia' by Weinberg and Associates?
