You ignore the first part of Diana West's article in order to be smug and
morally superior. Now we have two examples to counter Judy's balderdash.

>>The question is, did, for example, bombing Dresden to defeat Hitler or, in
the Pacific War, dropping two nuclear bombs to force Japan to stop fighting,
make the Allies into barbarians?<<

Of course it did.

>>Who in the civilized world ever imagined systematically killing millions
people before Hitler?<<

Well, let's see, there's the Catholic Church and then most of the Protestant
sects and of course the Muslims and just about every tribe and kingdom and
nation in the world, though they all lacked the technology to achieve the
impressive numbers that Hitler managed. Still the same spirit was there.

Oh, I love it when she talks tough! Wear your vinyls, baby, and crack that
whip, leather me down. Do it! Do it!

>>The first French Republic aside, who on God's modern green Earth ever

with Islamic jihad?<<

But why put the first French Republic aside? I guess it must be
embarrassing to know that Europeans can be barbarians too. Yes, best put
that aside. She's right though, Diana West is, beheading is far more
barbarous that flaying people, or quartering them, or disemboweling them, or
impaling them, or crucifying them, or hanging them or boiling them in oil or
blowing them to bits or burning them alive -- or even throwing babies into
the air for target practice as the Gautamalan army forces did. Hmmm.

Thanks for forwarding that insprirational message from Diana West, Lawrence.
Nothing like a tough talking woman to get me off.
