One thing to note - and this is important - is that those in Xingjiang have historically kept the focus of their legigitate, I believe, struggle to China, otherwise being moderate - I, for example, have many Uyghur and Kazak friends. The irony, and this seems par the course with regards to US foreign policy - and yes, the US sold out the Tibetans in order to gain favor with Mao - even after having the CIA trained them and provded them with both encouragement (hope) and arms - the US sold out the Uyghurs following 9/11. It is a sad thing, soldiers everywhere, lots of animosity, the usual Chinese policy of shippin' Han Chinese into the territory in order to culturally decimate it.

A quote from Buick ("Beck") - and there is a story about his name, the why:

Years they been drawing doors on that wall - but how - when - what one can go through it!?
