Don't believe what the Islamists are saying, Andreas. What you describe, that beatings
and torture have become
normative, is utterly impossible. The Uniform Code of Military Justice has not been
changed. Violations are tried in military courts and in the Media.
Torture is legal US policy. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc. have authorized the CIA and the US
military to torture. They have issued the necessary legal statements.
Yes, this violates all sorts of laws. The Uniform Code of Military Justice, the Geneva
Conventions, and so on. The Bush White House acts illegally. The US Congress is too corrupt
to do anything and the US media has been taken over by corps and they say nothing.
