Mike -
Your version of "stopping by woods on a snowy eve" is a beauty. Nice work!

Well, I'll be damned! maybe there is a God -- except in Tennessee. But
that's OK, there's something comforting in knowing that some things never
change. Tennessee -- First in Red-Neckery!

Great post, Steve. Thanks for sharing it. But be careful, though, this list
can suck up so much time you'll find your ass mired in enjoyment.

  A PARTING POEM

Whose manuscript this is I know.
Alas, it's still not finished though,
And ne'er will be if I stay here,
These words all melt like Southern snow.
My friends must think it mighty queer
To write and write with no end near,
To write as though I could not slake
A thirst for words I love so dear.
They give their heads a woeful shake
Are glad that they're not my mistake.
They say it's time for a clean sweep:
To stop the writing. I'm a flake!
My words are lovely, dark and deep.
And I have royalties to reap.
And I have royalties to reap.

I do love this list. Thanks to all. I shall return (with pipe in mouth).
