My paper says today that charges against Butch Dwight "Sno" Smith have been dismissed. Charges against his father, Bovil Bruce "Butch" Smith Jr. were also dropped. The son was accused of severely injuring a woman in a road rage incident in Idaho. Federal marshals arrested him in Tennessee. The father was accused of hindering prosecution. Morrow County D.A. concluded that the key witness, mother of Butch "Sno" Smith's two children--neither of whom is named in the article-- had lied so that she could enter a witness protection program and get sole custody of their children. The key that unlocked the lie? Bovil had a speeding ticket that proved he could not have been where he was said to have been.
