You were offered a tenure-track position at Harvard, right?" Nothing so prosaic. I can't give all the details, but I am in the process of negotiating a three-year visiting professor position at an Islamic university in a Muslim country. You read my Habermas paper on reason and religion in the public sphere (I just found out it was accepted in a good journal!) and I have another paper on Kant, reason and revelation (which I am hoping will be published in another good journal), and I am hoping to continue this research on reason, religion and society. Walter continues: "But the place was packed and everyone had a great time. We went overtime by at least 30 minutes. And the New College bar had already been open for 40 minutes! Habermas lives!" Good to hear it was a lively event. I am curious whether you notice a N.A./Euro difference as you move between this conference and the CPA.
