Robert Paul writes: : The cause of my anger is : that someone stole my M & M's; her stealing them isn't my anger. It's : what provoked it. This sounds like the first third of Buddhism 101. The second third is that the way to extinguish that anger is to get rid your greed for M & M's. The final third, as I understand it, is that the way to do that is to truly recognize that as a matter of ultimate reality there are no independent things such as M & M's to be craved or one's self to do the craving. -- Peter D.
