The American version of "The Office" is extremely good. It's not a crazy comedy like Faulty Towers, but it's quite good. The first three seasons are available on DVD. You can also watch it via streaming on Netflix.
Red Dwarf is fairly good. But many of the jokes are stretched. A number episodes are on YouTube.

I'd move Red Dwarf up a tiny bit, but, maybe that's because I haven't seen Black Adder or the ones between Fawlty Towers and Red Dwarf. Have you seen Life on Mars? Not entirely comedy, but... I'll try again later. If it weren't for British comedy, I wouldn't own a TV. BBCcomedy shows are broadcast beginning at 10:00 pm on PBS in Memphis. "Are YouBeing Served has been showing every week night for 10 years at least. I'm sick to death of it. All others would come on for limited runs after Are You Being Served or on weekend nights after the BBC detective shows. In the order that I like them: Monty Python, Black Adder, Fawlty Towers, the Young Ones, Absolutely Fabulous, Red Dwarf, Rising Damp, Keeping Up Appearances,As Time Goes By, and Are You Being Served.
