I'll consider this after I stop laughing. No that it's a bad idea, just that
it is so novel and creative. Really. Thanks for the laugh.

TEXAS. I've recommended that we turn Texas over to the Jews before, but no
one took me up on it. Our (forced) annexation of Texas from Mexico was a
tragic error as anyone can see. The place is uncivilizable. It has nothing
to recommend it. I'm convinced that only the Jews could make that place
flower. The only reason the state of Israel exists today is that Western
Europe and the U.S. felt so guilty over their attempts to kill all the Jews
that they stole the lands of Palestinians and gave it to the Jews in
recompense. Sorry about that 2000 years of killing you people. Here, take
this guy's house. Everybody happy now? So why not give the Jews Texas?
Let the people in Texas move to Utah. The geography's the same and those
Mormons need a little competition from Baptists, I think. Or maybe the
Mormons can teach the Baptists how to sing. Either way, we win. Hell,
offer the Texans ten acres and a mule if they'll move to any western state
except California. There's plenty of room out there. This is a great idea.
Plus I think it would be neat to have New Tel Aviv (Galveston) only 500
miles from Memphis. I guess Houston would become the New Jerusalem. Dallas
what? New Nazareth? San Antonio? What fun that would be renaming all the
cities. I say we offer Sharon Texas for free. It's an idea whose time has
come.

Re Israel, if we are advocating removing Israel from the Middle East, you
(we) need to come up with a place for them (6 million plus) to go, assuming
they are willing, which I believe they are not. My fear about all this is
that if it is tried, the whole ME and us will go up in nuclear holocaust, as
it has been made clear that this time the Jews are not going alone. There
is also the question of who was there first, (I believe the Jews) etc., etc.
