Historian Stephanie Coontz is one of my favorite authors. The
following piece on bostom.com nicely illustrates why I like her.

Titled "The Romantic Life of Braniacs" it begins,


"College-educated, highly successful women have long had a reputation
for marrying less (and having lousier sex). But in a historic reversal
of past trends, these women now triumph in matrimony."
