From: "Paul Stone" <pas@xxxxxxxx> > p.s. Does anyone wish to discuss the philosophical implications of "Team > America: World Police"? A group of us saw this the other night. There's a number of funny scenes: Team America saves Paris and Cairo from terrorists. One American fires a shoulder missile. It misses, hits the Eiffel Tower, which collapses and takes out the Arc d'Triomphe. Dang. He missed. After the fight is over, the French looked stunned at the wreckage. The same happens in Cairo. Team America wrecks the place. The rest of the movie, well... many of the scenes could have been cut. It's a vicious satire on the War on Terror (WOT) and America's role. But it could have gone much further. yrs, andreas www.andreas.com ------------------------------------------------------------------ To change your Lit-Ideas settings (subscribe/unsub, vacation on/off, digest on/off), visit www.andreas.com/faq-lit-ideas.html
