I included my remark about Bush as a bit of fun. He didn't get where he did because of his family's expectations. At least not in the way I was reading Andy's 'expectations'. He got there because his family continually bailed him out and financed him and protected him and refinanced him. Except in the crassest sense, he's not a success story. He could be the poster child for the American dream gone wrong -- unless he's the poster child for the American dream realized. Either way, it's enough to give you nightmares.
