At dinner yesterday evening someone told me of a mutual friend who, having
long ago left her husband for a female lover, is now once again in a
relationship with a man. "Ah," I heard myself saying before mental censors,
dozing in their guard tower, could grab their stacked arms, "men are the new
women."
