If the oil voucher corruption tale is indeed true, what does it matter whether the corporation involves Haliburton or Total Petrofina? What does it matter whether one corrupt leader's country is blisteringly unfair to its poor or the other corrupt leader's country attempts more social remediation? If they are corrupt leaders, Saint Chirac and Demon Dubya both belong in the dustbin. How could it be otherwise? To cut Chirac slack would be to patronize the excellent French people (no irony intended).
