to Brown, pre- first term.

The Army pigs? Oh, dear. Are these the same pigs Rumsfeld ran off the
cliff during the run up to the invasion? The quaking four star generals
who caved in to his assurances that shock and awe and Hellfire missiles
would have the place cleaned up in a week or so? The site you refer to
is a defense contractor's site, not something run by the Army. Of course
they're gonna like the thing whether it works or not.
"I am showing you that the Voice is complicit with the lobbyists who
hate Rumsfeld. Crusader is canceled, as my subsequent post showed. These
scoundrels don't mind enlisting Voice readers to vilify anyone who steps
on their hog trough. Hate him from the Left, hate him from the
Right...and while y'all are busy Bush-bashing, push the Crusader through
after Rumsfeld is disgraced."
Well, I've heard that the Voice is complicit in just about everything,
including the spread of avian flu. But this is—don't you think,
Eric?—just a bit over the top. Did Rummy meet with the Carlyle guy? Did
they discuss the Crusader? Did Rumsfeld personally cancel work on that
piece of junk or did it just fall out of an appropriations bill like the
muffler on a 1972 Datsun?
So far, you've shown that the program was cancelled. You haven't shown
me, or anyone else, who did it, although you alleged earlier it was
Rummy. If he did it, that's one good thing he did.
You seem to believe that there's this vast Communist/Capitalist
conspiracy, led by Mike Geary, with fellow travelers like me and those
running dogs at the Village Voice who like nothing better than to pick
on poor defenseless dupes like W and Rummy, just because we're…because
we're…just into hating them, I guess. Oh, blind to truth! The lobbyists
contrive it all.
