It's no longer safe for Westerners to travel in Afghanistan outside Kabul--certainly the Coalition has no control of the countryside. Andreas is right: the next few months will see an accomodation with the former Taliban; women's freedom will be once again disappear; and our short attention span will allow us to leave Afghanistan with nothing having been accomplished beyond a lot of huffing and puffing.
