I really like the first stanza – a very nice image

I think I thank Robert Paul and Omar Kusturica for their replies. I was afraid
that JL would reply with a study that begins with Thucydides and I would have
to spend three days reading his reply and still be none the wiser. I'm still
none the wiser, but I have two days left.

Here's a poem by moi for Lawrence to critique:

THE NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME LOVER

She pulled her hair across her face

and hid there

waiting for me to find her.

Shucking corn in October,

my hands as touch as the husk,

the softness of cornsilk confuses me.

I came back to the fields alone.

'dmarc-norep,' means the same thing.
