A few of the rose bushes have begun to produce blooms, but the rain has
damaged many of them. The California Poppies are coming up nicely even
though I didn’t put down any new seed. They seem able to do that all by
themselves. Also they withstand the rain better than I thought they would.
The dogs don’t mind just hanging out. The California’s sequestering order
doesn’t bother them a bit, but they are always ready to follow me and my
camera into the back yard.
Inside, they, especially Jessica, are sensitive to anything going on out
front – lots of barking especially if it turns out to be a cat, a dog or a
delivery person putting a package on the front porch.
